BARANGAY LITTLE BAGUIO, A PEACE-LOVING COMMUNITY, BINDS AS ONE IN MAKING OUR COMMUNITY BETTER, THROUGH EVERYONE’S ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT!

 

 

The mission of Barangay Council of Little Baguio is the overall rationale of what and why the council works as hard as it

can be. The divergence of the general compositions of the population must be the factor in creating a mission that will combine all the aspirations of residents, the business sector, the people’s organization and even the people outside our community into one which is to become a peace-loving community, binding as one in making the community bette, through everyone’s active involvement.

 

Our mission descriptively include the concise priority of the Barangay Council, where the ultimate goal is to become a

better community that will result in the elimination of unemployment, drug abuse and other criminalities.

THE BARANGAY COUNCIL OF LITTLE BAGUIO VIVIDLY DESCRIBES ITS VISION AS AN ORGANIZATION THAT WILL BE

EFFECTIVE IN CARRYING OUT THE DELIVERY OF BASIC SERVICES THROUGH A UNITED ACTION OF ALL STAKEHOLDERS IN THE COMMUNITY. THE BARANGAY COUNCIL’S PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS WILL NOT BE ATTAINED WITHOUT THE PARTICIPATION OF ITS RESIDNTS, VARIOUS PEOPLE’S ORGANIZATION, THE BUSINESS SECTOR AND THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN, AS WELL AS DIRECTIVES FROM THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT THROUGH THE OFFICE OF THE CITY DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

 

TULONG-TULONG SA PAGSULONGIS THE COMPELLING CALL AND CHALLENGE OF WHAT LITTLE BAGUIO AS A

COMMUNTIY WOULD LIKE TO ASPIRE FOR. IT IS NOT ONLY AN IDEALISTIC CATCHWORD BUT THE GUIDING MOTIVATION FOR ALL RESIDENTS OF BARANGAY LITTLE BAGUIO TO WORK AS ONE, TO LIVE AS ONE AND TO MOVE PROGRESSIVELY IN ONE DIRECTION ROOTED IN THE SPIRIT OF THE BAYANIHAN.


PROFILE OF BARANGAY LITTLE BAGUIO


Barangay Little Baguio is situated in the eastern part of the City of San Juan, (14’36’13” N121’01’58.85”E) with an

elevation of 100 ft. above sea level. It is bounded by Brgy. Greenhills in north-east, Addition Hills in east-west, Brgy. Sta. Lucia in south-west, Brgy. Onse in west, St. Joseph & Brgy. Corazon in west-north and in the north part of Little Baguio is Brgy. Pasadena.

 

Ermitaño Creek is the natural boundary of Barangay Little Baguio and Barangay Greenhills that traverse from Wilson

Street up to Santolan Road.


DEMOGRAPHIC DATA


After fifty years or so, Barangay Little Baguio is now comparatively densely populated although not as much as the

other barangays. It has an approximate population of 6,162 inhabitants (NSO data 2015) given the fact that most of our residents who live in condominium avoid being interviewed for census for security reasons. Based on the Records of Barangay Inhabitants in 2015, the population of Little Baguio is comprised by 54.55% female and 45.45% male. Majority are Catholics (90%) while others are Iglesia ni Cristo (2%), Protestant/Christian (6%) and other religion (2%).

 

Registered voters in 2016, based on Comelec, are 3,297 in the voting precincts of 27. This would mean that a number

of our residents maintained their right to exercise to vote in their former residences or hometowns.
