CITY RESOLUTION NO. 26
Series of 2022
WHEREAS, the DENR-EMB-NCR is primarily tasked with the prevention, control and abatement of all kinds of air pollution in the National Capital Region pursuant to Republic Act No. 8749 or the Philippine Clean Air Act of 1999;
WHEREAS, the DENR-EMB-NCR as part of its mandate and authority, shall coordinate with private sectors, non-government organizations, civic organizations, the local government units, and other government agencies and bureaus, with the dissemination of information related to air quality management in the National Capital Region;
WHEREAS, the area of the Pinaglabanan Shrine situated at Pinaglabanan Street, San Juan City has been assessed as a suitable site for ambient air quality monitoring activities;
WHEREAS, the City Legal Officer has certified that the MOA is in order and not contrary to existing laws, rules and regulations;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED,BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF THE CITY OF SAN JUAN, AND BY VIRTUE OF THE POWERS VESTED IN IT Y LAW, in a session duly assembled, to authorize the City Mayor Francisco Javier M. Zamora, to enter into a MOA with DENR-EMB-NCR for the installation of the Air Quality Monitoring Station Shelter at the Pinaglabanan Shrine.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the authority, issuance and approval hereof is subject to certain restrictions and to all existing laws, circulars, rules and regulations.
