WHEREAS, the City Government of San Juan needs to prepare, mitigate, respond and rehabilitate the adverse effects of any disaster that will hit the City;
WHEREAS, R.A. 10121, otherwise known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010, Section 21 states that: “ …not less than five percent (5%) of the estimated revenue from regular sources shall be set aside as the LDRRMF…”;
WHEREAS, Section 21 of R.A. 10121 further states that: “… Unexpended LDRRMF shall accrue to a special trust fund solely for the purpose of supporting disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) activities of the LDRRMC within the next five (5) years…”;
WHEREAS, the revised Annual Investment Plans (AIPs) and Fund Investment Plan (FIP) shall be approved and declared as the LDRRMF of the following years for the year 2022
2021- Twenty Six Million Two Hundred Thirty Seven Thousand Two Hundred Eighty Three Pesos and Thirty Three Centavos (P26,237,283.33);
2020 – Fifteen Million Thirty Nine Thousand One Hundred Forty One Pesos and Twenty Six Centavos (P15,039,141.26);
2019 – Two Million Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Six Pesos and Thirty Eight Centavos (P2,550,386.38);
2018 – Six Million Three Hundred Sixty Four Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety Pesos and Eighty Two Centavos (P6,364,790.82); and
2017 – Two Hundred Seventy Eight Thousand Four Hundred Forty Nine Pesos and Ninety Centavos (P278,449.90);
WHEREAS, the said LDRRMF shall be approved and declared as the local LDRRMF for the year 2022;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of San Juan, Metro Manila, in a session duly assembled, do hereby ADOPTS and APPROVES the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Resolution No. 2, Series of 2022 approving the revised 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, AIP and FIP of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund for the year 2022.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all agencies concerned.
RESOLVED FINALLY, that the approval hereof is subject to and conditioned upon full compliance to all existing laws, circulars, memoranda and rules and regulations.
