WHEREAS, after 36 years, the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons became the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 84 Basketball Tournament Champion defeating the Ateneo Blue Eagles in overtime, 72-69, in game three of their championship series last May 13, 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena;

WHEREAS, TERRENCE JOHN SANTOS FORTEA was born in San Juan City on July 3, 2001, and was a player of San Juan Elementary School that became Champion in our city’s annual Inter Elementary School Competition, where he won the MVP Award;

WHEREAS, TERRENCE JOHN SANTOS FORTEA was the only player from a public school to be invited to join the Xavier School Basketball Team that represented San Juan City at the NCR Games;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of San Juan, Metro Manila in a session duly assembled, to express its congratulations and admiration to TERRENCE JOHN SANTOS FORTEA of Barangay Progreso who is a member of the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons, Season 84 Basketball Tournament Champion of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) in the championship series held at the Mall of Asia Arena last May 8 - 13, 2022.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copy of this Resolution be furnished to TERRENCE JOHN SANTOS FORTEA.
