WHEREAS, Ms. Maria Alia JamimeAllysha M. Parma is a resident of No. 135G J. Ruiz Street, Barangay Balong Bato of this city and the daughter of Mr. Aldrin and Mrs. Alona Parma;
WHEREAS, Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad is an event where education brings together young people from all over the globe to apply their skills in challenging and educational math competitions;
WHEREAS, competing against top contestants from around the world, a student from San Juan City Science High School, Maria Alia Jamime Allysha M. Parma won Silver Medal for high school students in this year’s Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad;
WHEREAS, Ms. Maria Alia Jamime Allysha M. Parma is a good role model to other students in the City of San Juan and will motivate them to excel in their studies;
WHEREAS, such feat brings great esteem and prestige to the country especially to the City of San Juan because it shows that students of this city are not behind from their counterparts in the field of academics due to the city government’s commitment of providing quality public education;
WHEREAS, as per City Ordinance No. 4, Series of 2020. Ms. Maria Alia Jamime Allysha M. Parma qualifies for the amount of Fifteen Thousand Pesos (P15,000.00) under the International Category.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of San Juan, Metro Manila in a session duly assembled, to recognize and commend the student of San Juan City Science High School, Maria Alia Jamime Allysha M. Parma, for winning 2nd Place (Silver Medal) at the Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad Heat Round 2022 High School Division, that gave honor and pride to the City of San Juan and granting her cash incentives as per City Ordinance No. 4, Series of 2020.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this resolution be given to Ms. Maria Alia Jamime Allysha M. Parma and other concerned offices for their information.
