WHEREAS, Ms. Threesta Emyliegh A. Padilla is a resident of No. 112 A. Lake Street, Barangay Balong Bato of this city and the daughter of Mr. Rodel and Mrs. Rashelle Padilla;

WHEREAS, Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad is an event where education brings together young people from all over the globe to apply their skills in challenging and educational math competitions;

WHEREAS, competing against top contestants from around the world, a student from San Juan City Science High School, Threesta Emyliegh A. Padilla won Bronze Medal for high school students in this year’s Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad;

WHEREAS, Ms. Threesta Emyliegh A. Padilla is a good role model to other students in the City of San Juan and will motivate them to excel in their studies;

WHEREAS, such feat brings great esteem and prestige to the country especially to the City of San Juan because it shows that students of this city are not behind from their counterparts in the field of academics due to the city government’s commitment of providing quality public education;

WHEREAS, as per City Ordinance No. 4, Series of 2020, Ms. Threesta Emyliegh A. Padilla qualifies for the amount of Ten Thousand Pesos (P10,000.00) under the International Category.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of San Juan, Metro Manila in a session duly assembled, to recognize and commend the student of San Juan City Science High School, Threesta Emyliegh A. Padilla, for winning 3rd Place (Bronze Medal) at the Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad Heat Round 2022 High School Division, that gave honor and pride to the City of San Juan and granting her cash incentives as per City Ordinance No. 4, Series of 2020.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution be given to Ms. Threesta Emyliegh A. Padilla and other concerned offices for their information.
