WHEREAS, Sec. 152 (b), (d) of Art. IV of Republic Act 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, provides the barangay service fees and charges in connection with the regulations or the use of barangay-owned properties or service facilities and the barangay may levy reasonable fees and charges;

WHEREAS, Barangay Council of Kabayanan has conducted a series of hearings and has approved Barangay Ordinance No. 003, Series of 2022;

WHEREAS, the Committee on Barangay Affairs and Ways & Means of the Sanggunaing Panlungsod has conducted a series of joint hearings on August 18, 26 and September 16, 2022 to review and scrutinize the submitted barangay ordinance;

WHEREAS, upon thorough deliberation, the committees found that Barangay Kabayanan Ordinance No. 003, Series of 2022 to be in order and consistent with law and ordinance and has been approved the same on committee level.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of San Juan, in a session duly assembled, that Barangay Kabayanan Ordinance No. 003, Series of 2022 entitled: “An Ordinance imposing fees, rules and regulation and penalties for the use of Barangay Kabayanan Multi-purpose rooms and stalls and authorizing the Barangay Treasurer to collect fees and charges imposed herein.” is found to be consistent with law and ordinance and is therefore valid.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the approval hereof is subject to compliance to all existing laws, circulars, memoranda and rules and regulations.

RESOLVED FINALLY, that the copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned agencies.
