WHEREAS, pursuant to the Memorandum of Agreement dated December 2, 2020 between the DPWH and San Juan LGU, the DPWH-NCR, through the Metro Manila 1^st District Engineering Office (MM1DEO), implemented the Rehabilitation of Disaster-Related Infrastructure and other Facilities (Medical Healthcare Facilities for Covid-19 Patients and Healthcare Professionals) at P. Guevarra Extension, San Juan City;

WHEREAS, Item No. B.9 of the abovementioned Memorandum of Agreement states that “If the LGU will still need the aforementioned COVID-19 facility, the former may request the transfer of ownership of the same, subject to the approval of the DPWH-NCR, in accordance with existing auditing Rules and Regulations as provided by the Commission on Audit and Presidential Decree No. 1445”;

WHEREAS, the Local Government Unit of San Juan has requested that the ownership of the isolation facilities be transferred to San Juan City;

WHEREAS, the City Legal Officer has certified that the Memorandum of Agreement is in good order and not contrary to the existing laws, rules and regulations.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF SAN JUAN, AND BY VIRTUE OF THE POWERS VESTED IN IT BY LAW, to authorize the City Mayor, Honorable Francisco Javier M. Zamora, to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the DPWH for the implementation of the transfer of ownership of the quarantine facility located at P. Guevarra Extension, San Juan City.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the authority, issuance, and approval hereof is subject to certain restrictions and to all existing laws, circulars, rules, and regulations.
