WHEREAS, Ms. Margarita “Meggie” Ochoa is a resident of Barangay Batis, City of San Juan, Metro Manila;

WHEREAS, Ms. Margarita “Meggie” Ochoa is part of the Philippine Delegation that competed in the 2022 Ju-Jitsu World Championship in Abu Dhabi, UAE;

WHEREAS, on November 3, 2022, Ms. Margarita “Meggie” Ochoa defeated her Canadian opponent, Ms. Vicky Hoang Ni Ni during the finals;

WHEREAS, Ms. Margarita “Meggie” Ochoa is now a 2 Time JJIF World Champion, 3 Time IBJJF World Champion and 2 Time Sea Games Gold Medalist.She is truly a worthy daughter and a priced jewel of our beloved city;

WHEREAS, may the success of Ms. Margarita “Meggie” Ochoa serves as a living example to our San Juaneño youth to aspire for excellence and great determination in reaching one’s dreams;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of San Juan, Metro Manila, in a session duly assembled, to congratulateMs. Margarita “Meggie” Ochoa for winning the gold medal for the Women Adult – 48 KG Category at the 2022 Ju-Jitsu InternationalWorld Federation Championship in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution be given to Ms. Margarita “Meggie” Ochoa and other concerned offices for their information.
