WHEREAS, the City Government of San Juan needs to prepare, mitigate, respond and rehabilitate the adverse effects of any disaster that will hit the City;

WHEREAS, R.A. 10121, otherwise known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010, Section 21 states that: “ …not less than five percent (5%) of the estimated revenue from regular sources shall be set aside as the LDRRMF…”;

WHEREAS, Section 21 of R.A. 10121 further states that: “… Unexpended LDRRMFshall accrue to a special trust fund solely for the purpose of supporting disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) activities of the LDRRMC within the next five (5) years…”;

WHEREAS, the revised Annual Investment Plans (AIPs) and Fund Investment Plan (FIP) shall be approved and declared as the LDRRMF continuing fund for the year 2022 with the amount of Fifty Three Million Three Hundred Ninety Two Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Nine Pesos and Twelve Centavos (P53,392,669.12);

WHEREAS, the said LDRRMF shall be approved and declared as the local LDRRMF continuing fund for the year 2022;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of San Juan, Metro Manila, in a session duly assembled, do hereby ADOPTS and APPROVES the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Resolution No. 4, Series of 2022 approving the revised AIP and FIP of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (LDRRMF) continuing appropriations for the year 2022.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all agencies concerned.

RESOLVED FINALLY, that the approval hereof is subject to and conditioned upon full compliance to all existing laws, circulars, memoranda and rules and regulations.
