MOA SIGNING: HYDROPONICS PROJECT | 07.06.2023

July 10, 2023

Attending the Memorandum of Agreement Signing and Project Turnover of Indoor Hydroponics with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Barangay Addition Hills, and Barangay Balong Bato.

Hydroponics is an innovative technique of growing plants using a water-based nutrient solution rather than soil. It is a food production system being used by small farmers, hobbyists, and even commercial enterprises for vertical gardening due to lack of soil areas and spaces. Hydroponics has many other advantages including water conservation, which is of prime importance in this time of El Niño in the Philippines.

This hydroponics project is part of our food security program wherein we teach San Juaneños how to have their own produce in their backyards no matter how small their space is.

Joining me in rolling out this project were Vice Mayor Angelo Agcaoili, Councilor Herbert Chua, and his council.

Thank you to the members of the Latter-Day Saints Charities for this donation.
